- Christine Schuldt of Denver has lofty goals of participating in
the Boulder Triathlon Series this year and with the help of FastForward
Sports' training program her goals are now within reach. Schuldt
was awarded a triathlon training scholarship with FastForward courtesy
of 5430 Sports
earlier this month.

Having participated in three
triathlons, Schuldt considers the 5430 series to be the one to compete
in. She has a high regard for men and woman of all shapes, sizes,
ages and athletic abilities who participate in the series.
"I was holding myself back, but now I feel that I will be in
a place with many other fantastic athletes I admire," Schuldt
said.
Finding balance for this mother of five is not an easy task and Schuldt
says she is constantly shifting, changing, and evolving to find it.
FastForward Sports will provide Schuldt with tools that can help find
that balance. Through the scholarship program a training schedule
will be designed for her to peak at her target races this summer.
She will be teamed with a coach and a training group that meets several
times a week. The workouts for Schuldt and her 75 FastForward Sports
triathlon teammates include up to three runs, two bikes and one swim
workout weekly.
"Our programs are designed with the understanding that most athletes
have lives outside of training," FastForward Sports executive
director Scott Fliegelman said. "We recognize this and encourage
athletes to attend as many group workouts as they can, but design
the workouts to fit in wherever their lives take them."
Unique from other training programs, Schuldt will have access to FastForward
Sports resource partners who are specifically picked for their products
and the services they provide to athletes.
"We are excited to have Christine join our team and with the
tools we can provide her she is sure to arrive at the start line healthy,
happy and ready to race," Fliegelman said.
Schuldt is eager about her opportunity to find out what happens when
she pushes herself a little, balances her family schedule and makes
every workout count. Schuldt says she wants to be present in the moment
and have the opportunity to grow and gain strength.
