FastForward Sports Announces Triathlon Scholarship

December 14, 2007 (Boulder, CO) - Established in 2005, FastForward Sports is a year-round triathlon and running training group for athletes throughout the Front Range. They will provide two aspiring athletes scholarships for their spring 2008 Triathlon Training Program courtesy of 5430 Sports.

Barry Siff, director of 5430 Sports, noted, "The triathlon training program that F4 has offered for the past couple of years has brought hundreds of new athletes into the sport, many of whom wouldn't have given it a chance otherwise. I am excited about the future of our sport and I want others to be able to experience the pride of completing their first triathlon."

Winners of the scholarships will be awarded a one-of-a-kind training experience preparing them to be at their best on race day. The training program consists of up to six professionally coached group workouts every week leading up to their goal race(s). Athletes can join others of like abilities for run, bike and swim workouts in Boulder or Denver. Unique from other training clubs, FastForward caters to athletes of all abilities from the first-timer to the elite and everyone is welcomed in a non-intimidating environment.

"I have learned so much by training with F4," current F4 member Sarah Vincent said. "I realize how much is involved with this sport, but I now know I can take on the challenge to participate in the 5430 triathlon series and succeed!"

Scott Fliegelman, executive director and head coach of F4, is excited about the partnership with 5430 Sports. "This scholarship provides a great opportunity for us to help a new athlete get involved with the sport of triathlon. We all know the feeling of being the 'newbie' and the anxiety and stress that can come along with diving into something completely new. With F4, athletes never have to feel anxious or overwhelmed. We take the science of triathlon and transition it into the magic and thrill of success."

FastForward Sports triathlon training program will begin on March 15th with training schedules designed to peak for the 5430 race series starting in June.
